GURDGE
The clouds still
gray, indicates the rain isn’t over yet
For all kindness hate
is what we get
Sacrifices’ we are
unto their selfish gods
We all want it, the
black wine
Like blinking cursors
we roam the streets
Work, come breeze or
the heat
Lights we are to shoo
away your darkness
Sticks we are to your
blindness
Homeless not
hopeless!
We glow from your
fallen carcass, helpless
Our situation like
catch-22
Whatever we do never
pleases you
You don’t feel our
struggle, you castigate us
We pray for sunshine,
but, the rain it gives us cathartic pours
Even, in sleep the
heavens never hear us
We keep still,
waiting to revenge our curse
Home don’t feel like
home just like our hearts is empty
We don’t know us
You don’t know us
We keep still,
waiting to revenge our curse
To help get against
the grudge
So God help us.
